If you ever wondered how to pack for vacation, you’ve come to the right place.
Vacation packing is all about clever ways to slay
day to night with confidence, convenience, and style.
There are many ways to look stylish without breaking the bank.
Start with your wardrobe and elevate with new pieces to mix and match all vacation long.
I had so much fun on my eight day cruise to the Bahamas last week!
Despite the recent hurricane damage in Freeport and other islands, the Bahamas is truly a beautiful place.
It was a pleasure visiting.
Today, I’m throwing it back to my experience and a full breakdown on what I packed.
The cruise consisted of 4 days at sea and day tours of Key West, FL,
Freeport, Half Moon Cay, and Nassau Bahamas.
If you’re going to a tropical location, your first step is figuring out swimwear.
I packed six swimsuits and six cover-ups.
- Swim Cover Up
- Wide Frame Sunglasses
- Beach Bag
- Flip Flops
Note: Beach Towels were provided daily by the ship.
The next step was deciding on casual wear.
There was a host of things to do around the clock.
With 4 days on board, dressing casual was my only mood the entire stay.
I packed 4 casual outfits.
- Biker Shorts
- Maxi Dress
- Casual Top
- Strapless Shirt
- Bare Shoulder Blouse
- Cute Workout Gear
For days I didn’t go swimming but still wanted to look sexy and chic,
I wore what was a swim cover up now as a sheer maxi dress.
I purchased a sleeveless body con from The Curvy Girl Collection to wear underneath.
This so happens to be my first time wearing my cover up in a year with intent to wear last year in Cancun.
A great way I’ve learned to not over pack is to create with what you have with inexpensive addition.
Your looks are timeless.
Every night I enjoyed live music, the casino, comedy club, the bar and club.
The ship hosted a Captains Celebration so I had the pleasure of being dressing up on the cruise.
P.S.. It was a HIT!
Each night consisted of dinner in a business casual setting so I packed four dressy casual outfits to wear at night.
- Formal/Night Out dress
- Pencil Skirt
- Mini Skirt
- Maxi Dress
The key to a stress fee vacation outfit planning is focusing on comfort and not just fashion.
Be comfortable in your own fly.
If you are someone who likes to dress up at any chance, bring your nice clothing.
If you’re someone who likes to dress casual often, pack casual.
You don’t have to go out the way to be stylish.
Be yourself and enjoy your vacation!
Your Final Checklist:
- Chunky Heels
- Crystal or Gladiator Sandal
- Fanny Pack
- Fenty Beauty Body Lava
